  • February 26, 2008 – The Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board unanimously grants approval for Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare to construct a new hospital
  • Mid-March 2008 – with all zoning and annexation approvals obtained from the City of Elmhurst, site preparation begins
  • May 2008 – groundbreaking ceremony, construction begins
  • Fall 2011 – new Hospital expected to open
